Student Presentation and Potluck 2013

Student Presentation is usually held every once a year. This year, it was held on 20^th December 2013.

 In this event, students will present their abilities in front of parents and teachers. They will show their knowledge and skills after six months studying in Sequoia School.

  We also invite parents to get involved in potluck which will be held in the same day.

AIESEC (International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences)

On 10^th December 2013 we will have a special guest from AIESEC (International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences). There will be some exchange participants from other countries who will share their knowledge about how to take care our health properly. This event is only opened for Kindergarten students.

3rd Outing : Gramedia Bookstore

Gramedia Bookstore is the 3^rd destination of our Outing this year. It was held on Thursday, November 28 2013. Looking around the bookstore, watching science presentation, and having fun games are some activities we did in the bookstore. The students looked so fun and happy to have this experience.

Doctor Visit

On Wednesday, November 20^th 2013, we had medical check up of students’ body and teeth by doctor from RSIA Hermina. Before checking up students' body and teeth, the doctor give a small presentation about the importance of taking care our teeth and how to brush our teeth properly.

Sharing Session

Sharing session was held on Friday, November 15^th 2013. We cooperated with Mrs. Dini Andriani, M. Psi from I-Medic to share information about “Kiat-Kiat Menstimulasi Anak Usia Dini.” The event ran smoothly, the parents showed their interest about the topic by asking some questions and sharing their experiences to the speaker and audiences.

2nd Outing : Bandung Zoo

Outing 2 was held on 30th October 2013. The children goes to zoo. It was  time for the children to learn about animals such as type of animals, animal’s food and knowing animal’s habitat . The children very excited. 

Parents Teachers Conference (PTC) Term I

PTC was held on 7th October 2013 and the day was the time for the children to get they progress report from the first term. Teacher explained the report to each parents about what their children had already achieved at school and what their children had to be increased in the next day. So, its very important.day

1st Outing : Go to RSIA Hermina at Pasteur, Bandung

This 1st Outing on 4th September 2013, the children visited RSIA Hermina at Pateur, Bandung. We gathered in hall of hospital and we watched how to wash hand and brush teeth properly video. Then, we toured to some part rooms of this hospital. We visited Front Office, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Baby Room, and Dentist Room. Everybody was happy, enjoy and excited.

Program ESL (English as Second Language) and Green Kids Program

Program ESL ini membantu anak dalam era globalisasi untuk memahami dan menggunakan bahasa Inggris dengan porsi yang cukup sesuai dengan usia anak. Berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris melalui percakapan sehari-hari yang ringan dengan belajar sambil bermain dan penambahan kosakata tanpa melupakan bahasa ibu mereka.

Green Kids Program adalah Environmental Education yang kami persiapakan. Melalui program ini, anak-anak dari sejak dini dapat belajar menjadi pribadi yang peduli alam dan  lingkungan sekitar. kami percaya bahwa dengan pembelajaran sejak dini akan nilai-nilai kepedulian lingkungan, dapat tertanam hingga mereka dewasa kelak.

Kurikulum Sequoia School.

Kurikulum Sequoia School adalah kurikulum Nasional dan Internasional yang telah disesuaikan dengan area tumbuh kembang anak yaitu perkembangan komunikasi dan bahasa (communication & language development), sosial-emosional dan perkembangan individu (social emotional & personal development), pekembangan intelegensia (cognitive development) dan perkembangan fisik (physical development). Pendekatan yang kami lakukan melalui berbagai tema yang berbeda setiap minggunya dengan pembelajaran aktif sehingga dapat membantu anak tetap fokus. 

Enam tahun pertama dalam kehidupan anak adalah masa yang penting dimana anak berada dalam fase menyerap ilmu ('Absorbent Mind'-Maria Montessori). Kurikulum Montessori dirancang untuk melatih anak dengan panca indera meraka agar menjadi pribadi yang percaya diri, mandiri sekaligus melatih mereka untuk menghadapi masyarakat dan lingkungannya kelak.

Welcome to Sequoia School Playgroup and Kindergarten.

Kami Sequoia School memberikan pendidikan bagi anak usia dini, bekerja sama dengan orang tua sebagai partner. Pohon Sekoya (Sequoia tree) adalah pohon yang dari bibitnya yang hanya sebesar biji apel dapat tumbuh menjadi pohon tertinggi dan terbesar di dunia. Sama seperti pohon Sequoia, seorang anak dengan diberikan stimulus, motivasi, bereksplorasi dengan lingkungan dan sarana yang tepat akan bertumbuh menjadi anak yang cerdas dan kuat, generasi baru yang kreatif, percaya diri, seimbang, dan memiliki kepedulian terhadap lingkungan ( Environmental Awareness).
